Motivation and Control in the Construction of the Transaction Order：A Review of Towards China’s New Economic Sociology: Study of Transaction Order Structure

汪和建教授的《迈向中国的新经济社会学——交易秩序的结构研究》是交易秩序研究的奠基之作，作者基于20世纪90年代经济社会转型出现的秩序问题，率先提出并建构了交易秩序理论。仔细阅读汪著，我们认为作者其实是在双重动机假设的基础上，提出了对个体经济动机进行激励和控制的理论方案，以此来实现交易秩序的扩展。方案的核心观点是既对个体的自由权和财产权进行保护，又通过制度措施确保集体效率和社会公正。这既实现了一种方法论的创新，又建构了一种能够回应时代大问题的理论。之后我们讨论了汪著将一般理论用于具体交易秩序研究时所提出的各类有限设计方案，并通过对近20年来中国经济发展中几个典型实例的分析来反思汪著中“有限设计”的现实意义。最后我们与当前市场交易秩序研究进行了简短对话，指出了其局限性及汪著能给予我们的研究启示。
：Professor Wang He-jian’s “Towards China’s New Economic Sociology Study of Transaction Order Structure” is the foundation study of the transaction order. Based on the chaotic order of the social transformation in the 1990s, the author proposed and constructed the theory of transaction order at first. Reading the book carefully, we believe that the author puts forward the theoretical program, based on the assumption of double motives, to motivate and control the individual economic incentives in order to achieve the expansion of transaction order. The core viewpoint of the scheme is not only to protect the individual liberty and property rights, but also ensure the collective efficiency and social justice through institutional measures. This theory achieves the innovation of the methodology while responses to the social problem in this age. After then we discuss the author’s “limited design programs” when he uses the general theory to study the specific transaction orders, and reflect the significance of the “limited design” by analyzing several typical examples in China’s economic development through the nearly 20 years. In the end, we have a brief dialogue with the current study of market transaction order, we point out its limitations and the research inspiration brought by Wang’s book
