中外体育科学论文英文摘要语篇建构对比分析
Comparison of Discourse Construction of the English Abstracts of Chinese and English Sport Science Research Papers

摘要：摘要作为一种学术体裁，其语篇结构特征值得研究。基于体裁分析理论，运用语料库研究方法，对比中外体育科学论文英文摘要语篇建构模式的异同。自建中外体育科学论文摘要语料库（共2 612篇摘要），从中分层随机抽样国内外期刊英文摘要各200篇，运用语料库分析软件，对中外期刊摘要在背景、目的、方法、结果、结论等语步进行全面的对比分析。结果发现，国内外期刊英文摘要的语篇结构存在显著差异，如国内期刊常缺省背景语步，部分摘要缺少结果或结论，方法语步部分摘要缺少陈述实验步骤，结论语步无对将来研究的建议等。另外，国内摘要各语步内的语言表达也较为单一。总之，国外体育科学论文摘要的语篇结构比国内英文摘要更为完整，表达方式也更为丰富，值得国内作者借鉴。
Abstract: As an academic genre, an abstract has its distinct discourse characteristics which merit study. Based on the theory of genre analysis and the corpus research methods, this paper aims to compare the similarities and differences in the English abstracts between the Chinese and international sport science research papers. We established the abstracts corpora (2612 abstracts) and randomly chose 200 abstracts from Chinese and international journals respectively. The corpus software was used to analyze the abstracts’ structure from the moves of Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. We found that the discourse construction of the English abstracts of Chinese journals differed significantly from their international counterparts, such as absence of Background move, omission of Results or Conclusion move, without detailed introduction of “research process” step in Methods move, lack of “suggestions for future research” step in Conclusion move, etc. Besides, the language use also seemed more monotonous within each move of domestic paper abstracts. In conclusion, international sport science research paper abstracts showed more complete discourse structure and more diverse language use, which Chinese authors should learn from
