Pharmacogenomics is developed based on genomics in the age of genomics study. It reveals the roleof individual genetic variation in drug response, and puts forward the novel concept of personalized medical treatmentbased on the genetic variation, which provides the theoretical and technical foundation for the coming and developmentof precision medicine. Thus, pharmacogenomics can be viewed as the “cornerstone” of the development of precisionmedicine. Several “omics” focusing on pharmacogenomics promote the rise of precision medicine, which exceeds theevidence-based medicine. To strengthen the researches of pharmacogenomics will definitely hasten the development ofprecision medicine
