日间手术作为一种全新的医疗模式在我国的临床实践已有十余年的历史，其开展的早期目的主要是为了解决“住院难、手术难”的问题，实践过程中其优势逐渐显现并得到广泛认可，并进一步为国家政策所支持鼓励。但在此过程中出现了过分强调“日间”概念、追求经济效益，乃至出现了忽视医疗安全的情况。日间手术提倡的是通过改革和优化日间手术管理模式、提高日间手术相关医疗技术，实现让手术从痛苦的经历变成愉快之旅的一种理念，而绝非是机械地为“日间”而“日间”。
