良方也须对症:试论PBL与中医基础学科的本科教学

Abstract:
PBL(problem-based learning)教学法随着20世纪80年代以来在中国高等教育领域的引入和推广,很快受到广泛的关注和应用。然而,笔者认为,PBL并不完全适用于所有中国医学本科教学的实践,尤其是中医学基础学科的本科教学,而传统的LBL(lecture-based learning)教学模式依然有其适用的空间。后者最大问题在于中医传统医学理论体系与现代高等教育体制之间的扞格。如何将传统中医学知识系统完整地传授给学生并帮助其转化成为实际临床应用的技能是提升中医基础学科本科教学水平的关键所在。
Teaching method of problem-based learning (PBL) has drawn a wide concern and been popularized sinceit was introduced in China higher education in the 1980s. However, the author holds that PBL is not suitable for all themedical undergraduate teaching practice, especially the undergraduate education of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)basic subjects. Traditional teaching mode, lecture-based learning (LBL), still has its own application scope. The biggestproblem of the latter is the conflicts between TCM knowledge system and modern higher education system. The keyof improving the teaching level of TCM basic subjects is to initiate students into TCM knowledge systematically andcompletely and help students to translate it into the clinical practice skills
