中医脾实质乃“pancreas”而非“spleen”
Pi in traditional Chinese medicine refers to pancreasrather than spleen

长期以来，中医所谓的“脾”所指的脏器备受争议和误解，导致医学工作者（西医）对中医脾及相关理论的费解；而中医工作者以中医基础理论中“脾”不特指具体的解剖部位、而强调功能的解释又难以自圆其说。本文从解剖学、经络学说、“脾”的功能并援以糖尿病和白塞病结合现代医学研究论证，阐述“脾”实质为pancreas，即现代医学的胰腺，而并非spleen。
For a long time, the disputation on which organ Pi refers to always exists, which leads to continuousmisunderstanding of Pi in TCM by medical staff, especially western doctors. Part of TCM providers or researchers assumePi is not a specific anatomic organ but define it from its function, which is unpersuasive. Based on anatomy, merdiancollateraltheory, function of Pi, and modern medicine research conclusions on the relative diseases of Pi includingdiabetics and Behcet’s disease, this article fully illustrates that Pi in TCM refers to the pancreas rather than the spleen
