Labor analgesia is a symbol of modern civilization development. There are different views about whether labor analgesia leads to prolonged or shortened labor. We think it is related to block technique and process management. If low concentration of local anesthetic, precise management, proper use of oxytocin and suitable midwife technique are applied in the labor analgesia of intraspinal block, the labor analgesia would not affect or even shorten the labor
