赵凤昌身世及其幕僚生涯

黄炎培曾说清末民初四十年间,东南有大事,必与赵凤昌有关。但其早年身世经历却罕为人所知,以致语焉不详,以讹传讹。借助近年新发现、新出版的重要史料,不仅可纠正诸多不实说法,弥补现有研究之不足,而且能通过考察他游幕历程及幕府生活,揭示其被纠参革职的复杂原因。赵凤昌苦心经营的“由幕而官”之路断送后,他利用幕府时期所积攒的人脉和编织的关系网,又开拓了一片新天地,那就是隐身幕后,纵横捭阖,影响东南大局。相比于台前的成功出彩,赵凤昌这种幕后的卓尔不凡更易博得人们的钦佩和尊重。
Abstract：Huang Yanpei said that during the 40 years in the late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China, Zhao Fengchang always participated in great events which happened in the Southeast. But his early life experience was unknown and got a little vague that even was wrongly informed. With the help of the new-discovered historical data, this article not only corrects much untrue statements, which can make up the deficiency of the existing research, but also by reviewing his life of aide reveals the complex reasons why he was cashiered. When the road from private adviser to official which Zhao Fengchang had struggled on was ended, he used his well-connected network to open up a new world: he remained in the background and had great influence on the situation of Southeast. Compared with his success on the stage, Zhao's prominent behavior behind the scenes was more admired and respected.
