A MS6.4 earthquake occurred at Menyuan county, Qinghai province, on 21 January 2016. It is the largest earthquake occurred in the border region of Gansu and Qinghai after the Minxian-Zhangxian earthquake on July 22, 2013. In this study, the related parameters and basic situation of the earthquake were introduced.
