Elder Abuse and Neglect

Extention of human life and decrease of birthrate cause increase in elderly population in this era. Elderliness is the last step of human life. In this step, human loses value, his/her dependence to other people inreases, economical power weakens and with all these changes s/he lives some problems. This situation of elderly creates some problems for her/his enviroment, too. Especially, elderly abuse and neglect emerges depending on problems of both elderly and people around her/him. Aim of this study is to discuss elderly abuse and neglect and to make suggestion to prevent it.
