This study followed a cross-sectional and descriptive research design.
The study aimed at establishing the relationship between strategic leadership
and employee engagement. A simple random sampling design was employed to a
sample obtained from one of the leading breweries in Uganda. The findings
showed that strategic leadership was indeed evident in the organization. They
also revealed that strategic leadership and employee engagement were
significantly and positively correlated and that strategic leadership was
significant predictor of employee engagement. It was therefore concluded that
organizations should invest in training their managers in strategic leadership
skills to improve on their relations with the subordinates.
