Abstract:
khojirnationalparkisoneoftheoldestprotectedareasiniranthatisgreatlyconsiderableintermsofbiodiversityandecologicalvalues.pistachio(pistaciaatlanticadesf.)communities,whichcreatesomewoodlandinthispark,areuniquebecausetheygrowtolerantlyinadryland,inthevicinityoftehrancapital.thisresearchisaboutsomeecologicalpropertiesofpistachiowoodlands.thedominantcommunityoftheareaispistacia-amygdaluslycioides.thedensityofpistaciais86perhectare.thedensityofpistachiotreeswasgreaterinthehigherelevationthaninthelowerone.inaddition,thecollardiameterandtheheightoftreesinthehigherclasswereless.theaveragedensityofpistaciainplotsinnorthernslopeswassignificantlymorethansouthernslopes(at5%level),buttheaveragecollardiameterofthemweremoreonthesouthernaspect.thedistribution,diameterandheightofpistachiotreeswerenotsignificantlyrelatedtothepercentageofslope.amongthesoilvariables,thesaturatedwaterpercentage(sp),n(totalnitrogen)andtextureofsoilwereeffectivefactorswhichplayedsignificantroleinordinationofplotscontainingpistachio.consideringtheimportantroleofp.atlanticaforeststandsinsoilandwaterconservationiniran,weshouldattachmoreimportancetotheirprotectionandconservation,aswellasactivitiessuchasroadanddamconstruction,andgardenestablishmentinsuchuniqueecosystems.
