Abstract:

theopensourcesoftwareopenfoamwasappliedtosimulatethesinglerisingbubble'sbehavior.atfirst,therisingspeedandshapeofthebubbleinreferencesweresimulated.theresultsfitwellwiththeexperimentaldata,thustheaccuracyofthecalculationmodelwasverified.variationoftherisingspeed,pressureandaspectratioofthebubblewithdifferentinitialdiametersagainstthetime,andeffectofthebonumberandmonumberonbubbleshapeweresystematicallyinvestigatedbyemployingthisvalidatedmodel.theresultsshowedthat,thebubble'sspeedwouldincreaseforawhileduringitsrising,andeventuallyreachedasteadyvaluewithslightfluctuation.thelargerthebubble'sinitialsize,thehigherthefinalspeedofitself.pressureinsidethebubbleincreasedtothemaximumrapidlyatfirst,andthendecreasedwiththetime.atthesamemoment,thebubblewithlargersizehadhigherpressureinside.whenthebubble'sdiametertendedtoacertainvalue,thefinalaspectratioturnedtoconstant.whenthebubble'sbonumberwassmall(atorlowerthano(0)magnitude)orthemonumberwaslarge(at(o(8)magnitude),thebubblewassphericandnearlyhadnodeformation.enlargingthebonumberordecreasingthemonumber,thebubble'sshapegraduallychanged.
