Abstract:

thevofinterfacetrackingmethodwasadoptedtosimulatethetwo-dimensionalsubmergedgasjetscouringpitmorphologyinanimpingementwaterbathdustremover.theinteractionofgas/liquidtwo-phasewasobtainedbyforcebalanceandmomentumexchange.ontheself-designedimpingementwaterbathdustremovertestbench,thesubmergedgasjetflushingwithdifferentgasvelocitieswassimulated.theresultsshowthat,thegasinletvelocityisoneofthemainfactorsaffectingthesubmergedgasjetscouringpitcharacteristics.theuniquenatureofgas/liquidtwo-phasedeterminestheiruniquewayofmovement,thusaffectsthemorphologicalcharacterofthescouringpitintheexpansionlagphase.withinthestudyrange,thecharacteristicradiusandimpactdepthofthescouringpitincreaseswiththegasvelocity,andsoaretheirgrowthrates.
