comparisonsofsurfacechlaandprimaryproductivityalongthreetransectsofthesouthernsouthchinasea,northernjavaseaandeasternindianoceaninapril2011*Keywords: carbonfixation,phytoplankton,southernsouthchinasea,northernjavasea,easternindianocean Abstract: ？resultsarepresentedaboutthechangesinchlorophylladensity,carbonfixationandnutrientlevelsinthesurfacewatersofthreetransectsofthesouthernsouthchinasea(scs),northernjavasea(js)andeasternindianocean(io)duringapril5~16of2011.theinsituchlaconcentrationandcarbonfixationshoweddecreasingtrendsfromhightolowlatitudealongthethreetransects,whilethephotosyntheticrateofphytoplanktonestimatedfrom14cincorporationdisplayednosimplevariationwithlatitude.chlaconcentrationandcarbonfixationintheiowaterwaslowerthanthatinthejswater.highersalinityandlowercontentsofdissolvedinorganicnitrogen(din)andsilicate(sio32-)characterizedtheiowaterascomparedtothescsorjswater,andthepo43-contentwaslowerintheiowaterthaninthescsorjswaterinmostcases.ourresultsalsoindicatetheimportanceofdinandsio32-concentrationsforthegeographicalchangesinphytoplanktonbiomassandprimaryproductivityamongthethreeregions.
