Abstract:

thisarticlereviewedrecentprogressesinthedesignofanewclassofchemicaloscillatorsanddevelopedagenericmodelthatcouldqualitativelyreproducethosephotochemicaloscillationsseeninexperiments.thetwooscillatorsdiscussedinthisreportarebasedonthephotolysisof1,4-benzoquinoneanditsderivatives,inwhichexternalilluminationisvitalininitiatingandsustainingthereactionprocesses.nonlinearbehaviorinthesetwophoto-controlledchemicaloscillatorsareanalyzedasafunctionoflightintensityandtheinitialconcentrationofreagentsincluding1,4-benzoquinone,1,4-hydroquinone,2-methyl-1,4-benzoquinone,bromate,andsulfuricacid.agenericmodelproposedinitiallyfortheuncatalyzedbromate-aromaticcompoundreactionswasmodifiedheretoaccountforthephotolysisof1,4-benzoquinoneor2-methyl-1,4-benzoquinone.themodifiedmodelqualitativelyreproducedchemicaloscillationsandtheirdependenceonlightintensity.
