Abstract:

?thispaperanalyzesthecoaltocharstagesofcharformationofsixcoalsofdifferentranksbyusingfouriertransforminfraredcoupledwithattenuatedtotalreflectance(atr-ftir).thecharswereobtainedbycoalpyrolysiscarriedoutattemperaturerangeof450~700.thedataobtainedshowsthepragmaticdisappearanceofthealiphatichydrogencontentwithincreasingcharformationtemperature.numericalevaluationofthespectraenabledthedeterminationofaromaticity,fa.thearomaticitywasfoundtobebetween0.66~0.79forlignite,0.75~0.90forsub-bituminous,0.84~1.00forlowvolatilebituminous,0.83~1.00forhighvolatilebituminous,0.94~1.00forsemi-anthracite,and0.97~1.00foranthraciterespectively.withincreasingrankofcoalsamples,spectraexhibitrisingaromaticityandenhancedcondensationofaromaticrings,whereasthealiphaticchainlengthsdecrease.
