东构造节的伸展和折返:泰国北部裂谷的重力信号Keywords: Gravity,indentermodel,NorthernThailand Abstract: Althoughmanyofitsdetailshavebeencriticised,theindentermodelofIndia-Asiacollision(Fig1)isstillwidelyacceptedasprovidingaworkablefirst-orderexplanationforthestructuraldevelopmentoftheeasternsyntaxisandtheinitiationofthemajorNW-SEfaultsthatsegmentthemainlandofSoutheastAsia.ArgumentshavelargelyconcernedtheextenttowhichthearrivalofthecontinentalcrustofgreaterIndiahasbeenaccommodatedbythickeningbeneaththeTibetanPlateauorbyextrusionofblocksintoSoutheastAsia.Second-orderstructuresrelevanttosuchquestionsincludeelevatedplateaus,metamorphiccorecomplexesandthenetworksofriftbasinswithbroadlyN-Strends.InnorthernThailand,onesuchriftnetworkhasbeenresponsibleforthedevelopmentofacharacteristicbasin-and-rangemorphology.
