APreliminaryReviewofMetallogenicRegularityofTungstenDepositsinChina, PP. 1359-1374 Keywords: tungsten,resourcescharacteristics,typesoftungstendeposit,tungsten-formingbelt,metallogenicregularity Abstract: TungstenoreresourcesareabundantinChinawithrelativelycompletetypesofdeposits.Skarntypeandquartzveintypedepositsaredominatedinthetungstenresources,whereasquartzveintypewolframitedepositsaremostimportantintermsofexploitationandutilization.SkarntypetungstendepositsareconcentratedlydistributedinthecentralNanlingregion,suchasSouthHunan,SouthAnhuiandtheeasternQinlingregion,whilequartzveintypetungstendepositsoccurmainlyinSouthChina,suchasWestFujian,SouthJiangxi,NorthGuangdongandSouthHunan.ThemostimportantmetallogenicepochoftungstenistheMesozoic,whilethemetallogenictectonicsettingisfeaturedbyanintracontinentalenvironmentafterorogenywithsevertectonicmovements,deep-seatedfaultsandfrequentmagmaticactivities,especiallyMesozoicgranitoidscloselyrelatedtotungsten-tinmineralization.22metallogenicseriesoforedepositscharacterizedbyorsignificantlyrelatedtotungstenweredefinedbasedonprecisestatisticinformationof1199tungstenminingareasandthoroughthesummaryofmetallogenicregularities.Basedonstudiesofthemetallogenicregularityoftungstendeposits,skarntype(orgreisentype),quartzveintypeandmassif-typeoftungstendepositsarethoughttobethekeypredictiontypes.65tungsten-formingbeltsand22keyoreconcentrationareaswereascertainedandadistributionmapoftungsten-formingbeltsofChinawascompiled,whichprovidedatheoreticalbasisforevaluationandpredictionofpotentialtungstenresources.
