Review……………………………………………………APreliminaryReviewontheMetallogenyofPb-ZnDepositsinChina, PP. 1333-1358 Keywords: Deposittype,spatialandtemporaldistribution,tectonicenvironment,Pb-Zndeposits,China Abstract: LeadandzincresourcesareabundantinChina,withthereservesof100milliontonsrankingonlysecondintheworld.Therearemorethan3000lead-zincmineareasnationwide.Theclassificationoflead-zinc(Pb-Zn)depositshasbeenahighlycontroversialissue.Fromthestandpointofevaluatingthepotentialofmineralresources,weconstructaPb-Zndepositpredictivetypeofclassificationscheme,andproposeaPb-Zndepositcomprehensiveclassificationscheme(including5classesand13sub-types)thatregardsmineralizationastheprimaryfactorandtheorerockassecondary.AccordingtothetemporalandspatialdistributionofPb-Zndeposits,weconcludethatamulti-period,multi-cycleorogenicenvironmentisthemostfavorableforlead-zincdepositgrowth,thattheProterozoicisthemajoreonforthegrowthofigneous-typedeposits,thePaleozoicisanimportantdevelopmenteraforsedimentaryPb-Zndeposits,andtheMesozoicandCenozoicaretheheydayerasofmagmatictypelead-zincdeposits.Onthisbasis,weanalysetherelationshipbetweentectonicevolutionandPb-Znmetallogenic,andproposethatthekeyfactorsdetermininggeologicalmineralizationarethemetallogenicepochofmineralizationandtectonicenvironment,whichdeterminethetemporalandspatialdistribution.
