CambrianArch？ocyathinafromtheGorgeDistrictoftheYangtzeAbstract: PreviousstudiesofArch？ocyathinafromtheGorgeDistrictoftheYangtzeandotherpartsofChinaarebrieflyreviewed.NincspeciesofArch?ocyathina,belongingtofourdifferentgeneraandtwofamiliesaredescribedandillustrated,ofwhichonlytwospeciesarenew.ThepresenceofCambrocyathus(="Archaeocyathus").Archaeocyathus(="Spirocyathus"),RetecyathusandProtopharetraknownfromSiberiaSardiniaandAustraliaisreportedforthefirsttime.StratigraphicalpositionanddistributionoftheArchaeocyathinabedsinHupch,SzechuanandKwcichowarediscussed.Specialconsiderationisgiventotheso-called"Ichanglimestone"ofCambrianage.TheageoftheArchaeocyathinabedsincentralChinaisreferabletotheLowerCambrian.
