ImprovingthetargetpositiondetectioninthecrossedarraytrackersseekerusingthepulsesnumberdistributionintheFOVKeywords: InfraredSeeker Abstract: Seekinginafieldofview(FOV)isinfluencedbytheexistenceofjammers,noise,shinebackgroundorflyingperturbations.AllthesefactorsmaypushthetargetoutoftheFOVandcausemissingthetarget.InalltheseekerstheFOVisnotfullyexploitedwhichmeansthetargetcanbemissedbeforebecomingoutoftheFOV,thisresultsofthenonlinearityofthereticlestructure.Inthispaper,anovelmethodofthetargetpositiondetectionacrossedfourslitsorcrossedarraytrackers(CAT)seekerwillbedesigned,simulatedandevaluated.TheideaofthismethoddependsondividingtheFOVintomainregionsuptoacertainparameter,whichisthepulsesnumber;then,eachmainregionwillbedividedintosub-regionsuptoasecondparameterwhichwillbethepulsesdistributionaspinperiod.Theerrorssourceswillbediscussedandevaluated.OthernewideawillbeappliedwhichisexploitingsomeareaoftheFOVwhereapartofthepositiondataismissedintheinformationsignalbypushingthetargettotheregionwheretheinformationsignalcarriesthetotalpositiondata.
