Abstract:

TiO2/CparticlesasphotocatalystwerepreparedbydippingTiO2suspensionsolutionwithactivatedcarbonandwereappliedinthephotocatalytic-electrocatalyticdegradationofphenol,theTi/SnO2+Sb2O3/PbO2electrodeandoxygendiffusionelectrodewereusedasanodeandcathoderespectively,anda250Wultravioletlamp(365nm)assidelightsource.TheSEMresultsofTiO2/CandTi/SnO2+Sb2O3/PbO2anodeindicatedthattheTiO2oncarbonparticleswasuniformandPbO2filmonthesurfaceofanodewasincauliflowerform,theXRDresultofoxygendiffusionelectrodeshowedthatonlycrystallinegraphitewasfound.Theinfluentialparametersofdegradationprocesssuchasappliedcellvoltage(E),initialconcentrationofphenol(C0),amountofTiO2catalystandairflowrate(v)werediscussed.UnderthefollowingexperimentalconditionsofC0=50mg/L,pH=6,E=2V,TiO20.98mg/mL,v=382.2mL/min,andlightintensityI=10.5mW/cm2,phenolcouldbeentirelydegraded,andabout89%oftotalorganiccarbon(TOC)wasremovedafter3hdegradation.
