ElectrocatalyticActivityofTi/TiO2ElectrodesinH2SO4SolutionKeywords: voltammetriccharge,activesurface,TiO2electrode,electrochemistry Abstract: Ti/TiO2electrodeswerepreparedwiththepolymericprecursormethod(PPM).ThestructureandmorphologyofTi/TiO2electrodeswereexaminedwithXRDandESEM.Thevoltammetriccharge(q*)ofTi/TiO2electrodesascathodein0.5mol/LH2SO4solutionwasinvestigatedwithcyclicvoltammetry.ItwasfoundthattheelectrocatalyticactivityoftheTi/TiO2electrodeswasaffectedbythestructureandmorphologyoftheTi/TiO2electrodes,inotherwords,wasaffectedbythecalcinationconditionsofpreparingtheelectrodes.Thevalueofq*inwasconsiderablylargerthanthatofq*out,whichmeansthatthe‘inner’activesurfaceareawasmuchlargerthanthe‘outer’activesurfacearea,and‘inner’activesurfaceplayedamainroleintheelectrocatalyticactivityoftheTi/TiO2electrodes.
