EffectofUltrasoundFrequencyonthePrecipitationProcessofSupersaturatedSodiumAluminateSolutionKeywords: ultrasound,sodiumaluminatesolution,particlesizedistribution,nucleation Abstract: Theeffectsoffrequencyofultrasoundontheprecipitationprocessofpreparedsupersaturatedsodiumaluminatesolutionsofpracticalconcentrationwerestudiedexperimentallyunderseeded,isothermal,batchcrystallizationconditionsatvarioustemperaturesandinitialak(moleratioofNa2O/Al2O3).Thedecompositionandtheparticlenumberpercentageforsizebelow2mmattimeof15hwerecompared,particlesizedistributionandSEMphotosoftheproductaluminumhydroxidewerealsoanalyzed.Theresultsindicatethattheultrasonictreatmentat16kHzcanenhancethedecompositionrateofsodiumaluminatesolutions,andalsohaseffectsonparticlemorphologyandparticlesizedistributionofaluminumhydroxideprecipitated.
