AbsorptionofLowConcentrationSulfurDioxideUsingLiquid-containingMicroporousMembraneKeywords: hollowfiber,liquid-containingmembrane,citricacid,lowconcentrationSO2absorption,dynamicalcontactangle Abstract: TheabsorptionoflowconcentrationSO2influegasbyusingthemoduleofliquid-containingmicroporousmembranewhichismadeupofhollowfiberandcitricacid-sodiumcitratebuffersolutionwasinvestigated.Theabsorptionefficiencyofhydrophilicandhydrophobicmembranesbyusingtheconceptofdynamiccontactanglewasmainlystudied.Theinfluencesonabsorptionefficiencyfromabsorptiontime,flowrateofgasphase,SO2concentrationofgasphase,airpressure,citrateconcentration,pHvalueofsolutionaswellasthegenerationofsulfateradicalinabsorptionsolutionwereexamined.Theresultsindicatethatthehydrophobichollowfibermembraneisbetterthanhydrophilicmembrane,theabsorptionefficiencydecreaseswithincreasingabsorptiontime,gasphaseflowrate,gasphaseSO2concentrationandairpressure,theabsorptionrateandcapacityofSO2canbeimprovedbyincreasingthecitrateconcentration,theabsorptionefficiencycanbeimprovedbyincreasingthepHvalueofcitratesolution,theconcentrationofSO42-inabsorptionsolutionincreaseslinearlywiththeabsorptiontimeataratearound0.192g/(L×h).
