La(III)TransportinDispersionSupportedLiquidMembraneIncludingPC-88AastheCarrierandHClSolutionastheStrippingSolutionKeywords: liquidseparation,dispersionsupportedliquidmembrane,2-ethylhexylphosphonicacidmono-2-ethylhexylester,lanthanum(III) Abstract: ThetransportofLa(III)throughadispersionsupportedliquidmembranewithpolyvinylidenefluoridemembraneastheliquidmembranesupportanddispersionsolutionincludingHClsolutionasthestrippingsolutionand2-ethylhexylphosphonicacidmono-2-ethylhexylester(PC-88A)inkeroseneasthemembranesolution,wasstudied.Asaresult,theoptimumtransportconditionsofLa(III)wereobtainedasthatconcentrationofHClsolutionwas4.0mol/L,concentrationofPC-88A0.16mol/L,andvolumeratioofmembranetostrippingsolution3030inthedispersionphase,andpHvalue4.0inthefeedphase.IonicstrengthhadnoobviouseffectonthetransportofLa(III).Undertheoptimumconditions,wheninitialconcentrationofLa(III)was0.8′10-4mol/L,thetransportratewasupto96.3%duringthetransporttimeof125min.Thekineticequationwasdevelopedbasedonthelawofmassdiffusionandtheoryofinterfacechemistry.ThediffusioncoefficientofLa(III)inthemembraneandthethicknessofdiffusionlayerbetweenfeedandmembranephaseswereobtainedas3.20′10-7m2/sand3.22′10-5m,respectively.Thecalculatedresultswereingoodagreementwithexperimentalresults.
