Abstract:

Theapplicationoflargecross-sectionconductorcaneffectivelyreducethecurrentdensityandrealizethestrategyofenergysaving&consumptionreduction.Thispaperintroducesthelargecross-sectionconductor(900mm2)appliedinthe±800kVJinping-SunanUHVDCproject,andfocusesontheanalysisoffactorsconcerningtheconductor’sengineeringapplication.Thefactorsincludestructuredesignandmanufacturingofconductor,fittings,engineeringtechnology,etc.Theconclusionisfinallydrawnitisfeasibleandnecessarytodesignafour-layeraluminumstrandforconductorswiththedimensionof900mm2,bywhichtheproductivityhastheexpandingpotential;therearenoobstaclestothedesignandmanufacturingoffittings;thereleasingschemeshouldbefurtheroptimized;theexistingtractionandstretchingmachinescanbeusedandthepulleyandcardconductorshouldbedeveloped.Italsoindicatesthatlargecross-sectionconductor(900mm2)isexpectedtohaveabroadapplication.
