RAMANSPECTRAOFSEVENINTERPLANETARYDUSTPARTICLES, PP. 57-62 Keywords: InterplanetaryDustParticles,RamanSpectra,Carbon Abstract: TheRamanShiftSpectraofseveninterplanetarydustparticles,U2034(F10),U2034(F8),U2022(B1),W707418,W7074C15,W7074C3andW7074A7,weremeasuredwithaSpex-1403RamanSpectrograph.Theexcitingradiationswerethe488nmand514nmlineofa5Wargonionlaser.Allsevenspectraexhibitthe1350and1600Δcm-1arbonbands,implyingthattheIDPSwerecoatedwithhydrocarbonandincompletelycrystallizedcarbon,thepartofwhichmaybetheresidueofhydro-carboncontentsintheparticlesafterwaterlossbytheheatingduringtheirentryintotheearth’satmosphere.Aweakbandstructureinthe520-610cm-1rangecouldbecausedbycyclosilicates,andaweakbandat2900cm-1istentativelyidentifiedasduetohydrocarbonmolicules.
