Resultsaboutoceansatelliteobservation, PP. 474-485 Keywords: Oceanobservingsatellites,Monitoringsystem Abstract: Theyhaveplayedmoreandmoreimportantrolesinmarinepollutionmonitoring,marineenvironmentandmarinedisastermonitorandforecasting,marineresourceinvestigationandmarinescientificresearch.Inthispaper,theauthorwillgiveabriefreviewofChina'soperationalandscientificactivitiesinsatellitesoceanobservationduring2008to2010.TheseactivitiesincludetheapplicationoftheHY-1Bforredtideandgreentidedetectingandmonitoring,seaicemonitoring,fisheryresourcesassessmentatcoastalzoneandocean,marinewaterqualityassessment,seasurfacetemperaturemonitoringandforecasting,oceanprimaryproductivityandcarboncycleresearch,andthedevelopmentintheoceandynamicenvironmentparameterapplicationtechnologybeforelaunchofHY-2.Theachievementswehavemadeintheoceanobservationandmonitoringduringthepast3yearsindicatethat,thedevelopmentoftheoceansatelliteseriesandtheapplicationoftheoceansatellitecangreatlypromotethedevelopmentofChina'sthree-dimensionalmarineobservationsystemandearth-observationsystemfromspace,accordinglywecanimprovetheabilityofacquiringthemarineenvironmentalparametertosustainthemarineeconomydevelopmentandtheseadefenseconstruction.
