OrbitDesignforResponsiveSpaceUsingMultiple-objectiveEvolutionaryComputation, PP. 238-244 Keywords: Multiple-objectiveevolutionarycomputation,Non-dominatedSortingGeneticAlgorithmⅡ(NSGAⅡ),Low-EarthFastAccessOrbit(FAO),Low-EarthRepeatCoverageOrbit(RCO),Successive-coverageconstellationforresponsivedeployment Abstract: Responsiveorbitshaveexhibitedadvantagesinemergenciesfortheirexcellentresponsivenessandcoveragetotargets.Generally,thereareseveralconflictingmetricstotradeintheorbitdesignforresponsivespace.Aspecialmultiple-objectivegeneticalgorithm,namelytheNondominatedSortingGeneticAlgorithmⅡ(NSGAⅡ),isusedtodesignresponsiveorbits.Thisalgorithmhasconsideredtheconflictingmetricsoforbitstoachievetheoptimalsolution,includingtheorbitalelementsandlaunchprogramsofresponsivevehicles.Low-Earthfastaccessorbitsandlow-Earthrepeatcoverageorbits,twosubtypesofresponsiveorbits,canbedesignedusingNSGAⅡundergivenmetrictradeoffs,numberofvehicles,andlaunchmode.ByselectingtheoptimalsolutionfromtheobtainedParetofronts,adesignercanprocessthemetrictradeoffsconvenientlyinorbitdesign.Recurringtotheflexibilityofthealgorithm,theNSGAⅡpromotestheresponsiveorbitdesignfurther.
