Abstract:
?Abenzoylferrocenemodifiedmulti-wallcarbonnanotubepasteelectrodeforthemeasurementofmethionine(MET)concentrationisdescribed.METelectrochemicalresponsecharacteristicsofthemodifiedelectrodeinaphosphatebuffersolutionofpH7.0wereinvestigatedbycyclicvoltammetry,squarewavevoltammetry,andchronoamperometry.Underoptimizedconditions,thesquarewavevoltammetricpeakcurrentofMETincreasedlinearlywithMETconcentrationintherangeof1.0×10-7to2.0×10-4mol/L.Thedetectionlimitwas58.0nmol/LMET.Thediffusioncoefficient(D=5.62×10-6cm2/s)andelectrontransfercoefficient(α=0.4)forMEToxidationwerealsodetermined.ThesensorwassuccessfullyappliedforthemeasurementofMETconcentrationinhumanurine.
