Abstract:

?Acarbonpasteelectrode(CPE)modifiedwithcarbonnanotubesand5-amino-3',4'-dimethyl-biphenyl-2-ol(5ADB)isprepared.UndertheoptimumpHof7.0,theoxidationofascorbicacid(AA)onthemodifiedCPEoccursatapotentialabout280mVlesspositivethanthatontheunmodifiedCPE.SomekineticandthermodynamicparametersforelectrocatalyticoxidationofAA,includingelectrontransfercoefficient(α=0.58)anddiffusioncoefficient(D=2.2×10-6cm2/s),arealsodetermined.AA,acetaminophen(AC),andtryptophan(TRP)weredetectedsimultaneouslyusingthemodifiedCPE.ThepeakpotentialsrecordedusingthemodifiedCPEinphosphate-bufferedsolutionatpH7.0were265,465,and780mVforAA,AC,andTRP,respectively.ThemodifiedCPEwassuccessfullyusedtodeterminetheconcentrationsofAA,AC,andTRPinrealsamples.
