Abstract:
?TheeffectofCoparticlesizeontheFischer-Tropschsynthesis(FTS)activityofcarbonnanotube(CNT)-supportedCocatalystswasinvestigated.Microemulsion(usingwater-to-surfactantmolarratiosof2to12)andimpregnationtechniqueswereusedtopreparecatalystswithdifferentCoparticlesizes.KineticstudieswereperformedtounderstandtheeffectofCoparticlesizeoncatalyticactivity.Size-dependentkineticparametersweredevelopedusingathermodynamicmethod,toevaluatethestructuralsensitivityoftheCNT-supportedCocatalysts.Thesize-independentFTSreactionrateconstantandsize-independentadsorptionparameterincreasedwithincreasingreactiontemperature.ThePolaniparameteralsodependedoncatalystparticlesize,becauseofchangesinthecatalystsurfacecoverage.
