Abstract:

?Asilicasupportedionicliquidwassynthesizedandcharacterizedbyscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),Fouriertransforminfraredspectroscopy,X-raydiffraction,N2adsorption-desorption,andthermogravimetricanalysis.Allthesetechniques,especiallySEMresultsindicatedthepresenceofwell-definedsphericalparticleshavingdiameterslargerthanthepristinesilicaparticles,confirmingthesuccessfulimmobilizationoftheionicliquid.Thepreparedsilicasupportedionicliquidwasusedinthereductiveaminationofcyclohexanoneunderdifferentconditionswithdifferentazeotropicmixturesofformicacidandtriethylamineasahydrogensource.ThecatalystshowedefficientcatalyticperformanceandexcellentyieldsofN-cyclohexylaminederivativesintherangeof58%to84%at30℃.Aftercompletionofthereaction,thecatalystwaseasilyrecoveredbysimplefiltrationandreusedforanotherfivecycleswithoutanysignificantimpactonproductyields.Theobtainedcatalyticperformanceindicatesthatthepresentcatalystisgreen,veryactive,andreusableforthereductiveaminationofcyclohexanone.
