?Apowerfulandenvironmentallybenignmethodhasbeendevelopedfortheone-potsynthesisof4-substituted-1,5-benzodiazepinesviathethree-componentreactionofaseriesofaldehydeswithdimedoneando-phenylenediamineusing[H-NMP][HSO4]asaBr?nstedacidicionicliquidcatalystundersolvent-freeconditions.Thekeybenefitsofthisnewmethodoverexistingtechniquesincludehighyields,theuseofagreencatalyst,shortreactiontimesandfacilecatalystseparation.
