Abstract:

?Asimpleandefficientmethodforthesynthesisof9,9-dimethyl-9,10-dihydro-8H-benzo-[α]xanthen-11(12)-onederivatives(DDBXs)wasdevelopedbythecondensationreactionofvarioussubstitutedarylaldehydeswith2-naphtholanddimedoneusingFe3O4magneticnanoparticles(MNPs)asaheterogeneouscatalystundersolvent-freeconditionsat90-110℃.Theexperimentalprocedureisverysimple,theproductsareformedinhighyieldsandthecatalystiseasilyseparatedbyapplyinganexternalmagneticfield.
