Abstract:

?Poly(4-vinylpyridinium)perchloratehasbeenusedasanefficientsolidacidcatalystforthesynthesisof3,3'-(arylmethylene)bis(4-hydroxycoumarins)andbis(indolyl)methanes,withtheproductsbeingformedinexcellentyieldsoververyshortreactiontimesundermildandenvironmentallyfriendlyconditions.Thiscatalystcanbereusedseveraltimeswithoutanyappreciablelossinitsactivity.
