Abstract:
?Poly(4-vinylpyridinium)perchloratehasbeenusedasasupported,recyclable,environmentally-benigncatalystfortheformationofacylalsfromaliphaticandaromaticaldehydesingoodtoexcellentyieldsundersolvent-freeconditions.Notably,thereactionconditionsweretolerantofketones.Thismethodologyoffersseveraldistinctadvantages,includingitsoperationalsimplicityandhighproductyield,aswellasbeinggreenintermsofavoidingtheuseoftoxiccatalystsandsolvents.Furthermore,thecatalystcanberecoveredandreusedseveraltimeswithoutanylossinitsactivity.
