Abstract:

?PolyvinylaminecoatedFe3O4@SiO2compositemicrosphereswithacore-shellstructurewerepreparedandemployedasamagneticcatalystforKnoevenagelcondensationundermildconditions.Thecatalystcanbereadilyrecoveredusingamagnetandreusedseveraltimeswithoutlossinactivityorselectivity.TheperformanceofthemagneticbasecatalystwascomparedwiththatofpolyvinylaminefunctionalizedmesoporousSBA-15,whichshowedthatthemagneticnanoparticlesgaveimprovedreactionrateandyield.
