量子电动学诱导电磁辐射研究纳米催化剂, PP. 1073-1078 Keywords: nanocatalyst,nanoparticle,gold,quantumelectrodynamics Abstract: ?Goldhasbeenregardedasapoorheterogeneouscatalystbecauseitisgenerallyconsideredanonreactivemetal.Butasnanocatalysts,goldandothermetalssomehowsignificantlyenhancereactivity.Itisgenerallythoughtchemicalbondsofreactantsareweakenedbyadsorptiontonanocatalyststherebyallowingreactionstoproceedmorerapidly,buthowthisreactionproceedstocompletionisnotwellunderstood.Heregoldnanocatalystsaretreatedasunsupportednanoparticles(NPs)inasolutionofreactantmoleculesfromwhichextensionsaremadetogoldNPssupportedontitaniumdioxide.WhethertheNPsaresupportedorunsupported,enhancedcatalyticreactivitydependsonabsorbedthermalkT(kisBoltzmann′sconstantandTisabsolutetemperature)energyaccumulatedfrompriorcollisionsofreactantmolecules.TheaccumulatedkTenergyistreatedaselectromagnetictherebyallowingfrequencyup-conversionbyquantumelectrodynamics(QED)totheconfinementfrequencyoftheNP,typicallybeyondthevacuumultraviolet(VUV).Bythistheory,thechemicalreactionofreactantmoleculeshavingbondsweakenedbyadsorptioniscompletedbyQEDinducedVUVphotolysis.
