Abstract:
?AsyntheticmetalloporphinewasimmobilizedontoaPVA-basedandmercapto-graftedsolidsupport,emulatingtheactivesiteofcytochromeP450.Itsligninolyticperoxidase-likecatalyticactivitywasstudied.Thecoordinatedmercaptoligandsignificantlyaffectedthecatalyticfeaturesofthecatalystbecausetheoxidationoflignin-modelcompoundswasveryslowbycomparisonwithimidazole-andpyridine-coordinatedimmobilizedmetalloporphines.Conversely,thecatalystefficientlybleachedseveralindustrialdyesandthusdemonstratedpromisingactivityforthisapplication.Basedonthisalteredsubstratespecificitytheoxygen-donorcatalyticrouteseemstobemorefavorablethanasingleelectronoxidationpathway.
