Abstract:

?Agraphene-CdSecompositewassynthesizedbyafacilehydrothermalmethod,andcharacterizedbyX-raydiffraction,scanningelectronmicroscopywithenergydispersiveX-rayanalysis,transmissionelectronmicroscopyandUV-visdiffusereflectancespectrophotometry.Thegraphene-CdSecompositeefficientlycatalyzedthephotodegradationofmethyleneblue(MB),methylorange(MO)andrhodamineB(Rh.B)inaqueoussolutionunderUVorvisiblelightirradiation.Thegraphene-CdSecompositeexhibitedahigherphotocatalyticactivityfortheMBsolution.
