Abstract:
?ThecatalyticactivityofFe3O4nanoparticles(NPs)inaone-potthreecomponentcondensationreactionconsistingofanaromaticaldehyde,ureaorthiourea,andaβ-dicarbonylundersolvent-freeconditionswasinvestigated.Thisreactionaffordsthecorrespondingdihydropyrimidinones(thiones)inhightoexcellentyields.ComparedwiththeclassicalBiginellireactionsthismethodconsistentlygivesahighyield,easymagneticseparation,ashortreactiontime,andcatalystreusability.
