Abstract:

?Aseriesof1,4-dihydropyridineshavebeenpreparedbyaone-potcondensationofaldehydes,ethylacetoacetate,andammoniumacetateinthepresenceofaheterogeneouscatalystsilicasulfuricacidatroomtemperatureundersolvent-freecondition.Thisnewprotocolhastheadvantageofshortreactiontimeandexcellentyields,andisanenvironmentallybenignroutetothesynthesisof1,4-dihydropyridines.
