HydrogenationofOlefinsCatalyzedbyPolymer-SupportedPalladium-ImidazoleDOI: 10.1016/S1872-2067(10)60176-3, PP. 280-285 Keywords: polymer-supportedpalladium-imidazolecatalyst,cyclohexene,relativereactivity,sequentialhydrogenation,recyclingefficiency Abstract: ?Apolymer-supportedpalladium-imidazolecatalystwasusedtocatalyzethehydrogenationofvariousolefinsundermildconditions.Therateofhydrogenationwasstudied.Theeffectsoffactorssuchassubstrateconcentration,catalystconcentration,partialpressureofhydrogenandtemperatureoninitialrateofreactionofselectedolefinswereinvestigated.Amechanismforthereactionwasproposedfromtherateequation.Theeffectsofthesolventandstructureoftheolefinontherateofhydrogenationwereinvestigated.Thecatalystshowedgoodreusabilitywithoutanyleachingofmetalfromthesupport.Thehomologousanalogofthepolymer-supportedcatalystcouldnotbeusedascatalystforthehydrogenationofolefinsinmethanolbecausetherewasprecipitationofthemetalduringreaction.
