Abstract:

?Asimpleandefficientprocedureforthepreparationofsilica-bondedN-propylpiperazinesodiumn-propionate(SBPPSP)bythehydrolysisofsilica-bondedN-propylpiperazinemethyln-propionate(SBPPMP)inhydrochloricacid(0.5mol/L)followedbytreatmentwithsaturatedsodiumbicarbonateisdescribed.TheSBPPMPwasobtainedbythereactionof3-silica-bondedN-propylpiperazineandmethylacrylateinmethanol.SBPPSPwasusedasarecyclablebasiccatalystforthesynthesisof3,4-dihydropyrano[c]chromenesbythereactionofaromaticaldehydes,malononitrile,and4-hydroxycoumarininaqueousethanol(1:1v/v)underrefluxconditions.Biscoumarinswerealsoobtainedviacondensationofaldehydesand4-hydroxycoumarininaqueousethanol(1:1v/v)underrefluxconditions.Thecatalystcouldberecycledseveraltimeswithoutanyadditionaltreatment.
