ModelingandIdentificationofMultirateSystems, PP. 105-122 Abstract: ？Multiratesystemsareabundantinindustry;forexample,manysoft-sensordesignproblemsarerelatedtomodeling,parameteridentification,orstateestimationinvolvingmultiratesystems.Thestudyofmultiratesystemsgoesbacktotheearly1950’s,andhasbecomeanactiveresearchareainsystemsandcontrol.Thispaperbrieflysurveysthehistoryofdevelopmentintheareaofmultiratesystems,andintroducessomebasicconceptsandlatestresultsonmultiratesystems,includingapolynomialtransformationtechniqueandtheliftingtechniqueastoolsforhandlingmultiratesystems,liftedstatespacemodels,parameteridentificationofdual-ratesystems,howtodeterminefastsingle-ratemodelsfromdual-ratemodelsanddirectlyfromdual-ratedata,andahierarchicalidentificationmethodforgeneralmultiratesystems.Finally,somefurtherresearchtopicsformultiratesystemsaregiven.
