Abstract:

?Thispapercombinesimageprocessingwith3Dmagnetictrackingmethodtodevelopascalpelforhapticsimulationinsurgicalcutting.First,acuttingparameteracquisitionsetupispresentedandtheperformanceisvalidatedfromsofttissuecutting.Then,basedontheacquiredinput-outputdatapairs,amethodforfuzzysystemmodelingispresented,thatis,afterpartitioningeachinputspaceequallyandgivingthepremisesandthetotalnumberoffuzzyrules,theconsequentparametersandthefuzzymembershipfunctions(MF)oftheinputvariablesarelearnedandoptimizedviaaneurofuzzymodelingtechnique.Finally,ahapticscalpelimplementedwiththeestablishedcuttingmodelisdescribed.Preliminaryresultsshowthefeasibilityofthehapticdisplaysystemforreal-timeinteraction.
