Abstract:

?Aimingataclassofnonlinearsystemswithmultipleequilibriumpoints,wepresentadual-modemodelpredictivecontrolalgorithmwithextendedterminalconstraintsetcombinedwithcontrolinvariantsetandgainschedule.LocalLQRcontrollawsandthecorrespondingmaximumcontrolinvariantsetscanbedesignedforfiniteequilibriumpoints.Itisguaranteedthatcontrolinvariantsetsareoverlappedeachother.Theunionofthecontrolinvariantsetsistreatedastheterminalconstraintsetofpredictivecontrol.Thefeasibilityandstabilityofthenoveldual-modemodelpredictivecontrolareinvestigatedwithbothvariableandfixedhorizon.Becauseoftheintroductionofextendedterminalconstrainedset,thefeasibilityofoptimizationcanbeguaranteedwithshortpredictionhorizon.Inthisway,thesizeoftheoptimizationproblemisreducedsoitiscomputationallyefficient.Finally,asimulationexampleillustratingthealgorithmispresented.
